The Challenge
Private jets fly empty legs constantly — repositioning flights with every seat unsold. Matching those perishable seats with travelers requires marketplace mechanics aviation simply didn't have: searchable inventory, instant booking, and prices that respond to a departure clock that never stops.
The Solution
Built the marketplace core: a custom search engine over pilot-listed flights, a booking engine covering the full reservation lifecycle, and a real-time pricing layer that reprices seats as departures approach. Node.js, Express, and GraphQL under the hood; D3.js powering the data visualization.
The Outcome
The platform is live at jetsharing.co and still operating. The work earned a promotion from Senior Developer to Partner — the strongest endorsement client work can get.
